World Bank introduces carbon credit trading guarantee

Agreements let firms in developing countries enter carbon market

Two fertilizer producers, South Africa’s Omnia Holdings Ltd. and Rain CII Carbon of India, were the first two companies to sign agreements with the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation, the bank’s private-sector lender that is now offering a carbon credit trading guarantee.
