Report: Shoppers want CO2-heavy goods gone

Consumers ask for more carbon labelling

85% of UK shoppers would like more information about the carbon content of the foods they buy, according to a new study by the UK’s Forum for the Future entitled Check-out Carbon. According to the report, two-thirds of consumers want retailers to stop offering products that damage the environment, and nearly 80% said the government should be setting higher standards for the environmental impact of products.
