US Envoy for Climate Change appointed

Secretary of State Clinton chooses former White House advisor to fill position

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday appointed Todd Stern as America’s Special Envoy for Climate Change, the nation’s top advisor on international climate policy and strategy. Stern is a former senior White House advisor, coordinating climate change efforts during President Bill Clinton’s administration, and now will be leading US efforts at United Nations and other international negotiations.
