Wales invests £300 million in carbon emission reduction
The Welsh Assembly Government is planning to invest £300 million to help meet carbon reduction targets
The funding is expected to help develop climate change development officers, offering green advice to businesses and enterprises,creating sustainable travel towns and funding community regeneration. It is expected to gradually reduce emissions by three percent each year starting in 2011, and the funding will be made over the next four years.
